The spalted markings in this Spalted Birch bowl are incredible. It would make a great salad bowl or even an incredible conversation piece to serve snacks to family and friends. And, it is Made in Vermont. Once the bowl was turned on the lathe, it was hand sanded to a very smooth finish. Multiple applications of Quality, hard Tung oil was applied with sanding between coats, resulting in a beautiful high gloss finish.
